چکیده
Among the many inclusions from exceptionally rich fossiliferous amber of Zhangpu, China (Middle Miocene: Langhian), stingless bees (Apinae: Meliponini) are particularly common, analogous to merely slightly older sites Mexico and Dominican Republic. While there is a large number workers in Zhangpu amber, only two species represented. The systematics morphology tribe Meliponini outlined, including revision terms orientation direction when discussing surfaces features appendages, all order better discuss traits fossils as well place them into broader context global bees. representative Old World genera Meliponini: Tetragonula Moure Austroplebeia Moure. former widespread across southern Asia, Malesia, Papuasia, Australia, latter today known New Guinea Australia. Neither genus occurs environs today. (Anteplebeina) fujianica shares long list character states with s.str., presence yellow maculation on face, mesoscutum, mesoscutellum, metepisternum, this clade among Asiatic Meliponini. Recruitment communication in stingless bees (Hymenoptera, Apidae, Meliponini)
The stingless bees (Hymenoptera, Apidae, Meliponini) have evolved sophisticated communication systems that allow foragers to recruit nestmates to good resources. Over the past 50 years, a growing body of research has shown that foragers can communicate three-dimensional resource location, uncovered several potential communication mechanisms, and demonstrated new information transfer mechanisms....

متن کاملAustralian and New Guinean Stingless Bees of the Genus Austroplebeia Moure (Hymenoptera: Apidae)--a revision.
The stingless bee genus Austroplebeia Moure occurring in Australia and New Guinea is revised, based on a morphological analysis of samples from 177 colonies. Five species are recognised: A. cincta (Mocsáry), A. essingtoni (Cockerell), A. australis (Friese), A. cassiae (Cockerell) and A. magna, sp. nov. Three different colour morphs of A. australis are described. Five new synonymies are proposed...
متن کاملMiocene honey bees from the Randeck Maar of southwestern Germany (Hymenoptera, Apidae)
The Miocene Randeck Maar (southwestern Germany) is one of the only sites with abundant material of fossil honey bees. The fauna has been the focus of much scrutiny by early authors who recognized multiple species or subspecies within the fauna. The history of work on the Randeck Maar is briefly reviewed and these fossils placed into context with other Tertiary and living species of the genus Ap...
متن کاملPhysical-Chemical Parameters of Honey of Stingless Bee (Hymenoptera: Apidae)
The objective of this study was to evaluate the physico-chemical quality of honeys samples of stingless bee (Meliponinae). Physico-chemical analyses were: moisture, color, pH, acidity, electrical conductivity, hydroxymethylfurfural, ashes, diastasic activity, reducing sugars, and sucrose. For the parameters hydroxymethylfurfural, ashes, reducing sugars and sucrose, the samples complied with the...
